Welcome to Glimwood Tangle! This website is devoted to my Galarian Ponyta and Rapidash collection!

It always thought that I had found my one Pokémon partner in Oshawott, my one favourite of them all, and that was it. Never did I dream there would be another Pokémon that would be my top favourite as well.

Unicorns are my favourite mythical creature. When I first played Pokémon Red, I wanted a classical unicorn, somewhat like the ones I saw in My Little Pony, The Last Unicorn, Unico, and Sailor Moon but rooted a bit in unicorn lore. Rapidash is a fire unicorn, and the original Pokémon unicorn - but it wasn't the classical unicorn.

After many years and Pokémon games, generation 8 was announced – it's inspiration? The UK. On top of being elated that the UK was getting the spotlight, I hoped more than hope that given the UK's strong connection with unicorns, this was the generation the unicorn would appear. Several Pokémon particularly inspired by the UK were shared with us during hype season – a badger, teapot, raven, sheep, lump of coal, and more...but no sign of a unicorn.

 

Then, on October 4th, Pokémon did something previously never done - they ran a 24 hour live-stream to replicate a wildlife camera in an area of Galar called the Glimwood Tangle. I wasn't able to witness the first few hours, but when I got home I watched for a little bit and heard a familiar cry - Ponyta's cry. My heart leapt - and after a while longer, I saw something approach, light up like a rainbow and gallop away - and. I lost my mind - the unicorn that I had been wishing for since childhood had finally come! I had to sleep soon afterwards but I awoke to a clear shot of Galarian Ponyta - the Unique Horn Pokémon! The unicorn!

This Pokémon is beyond what I wished for – classical, colourful, and cute as a button, my favourite Pokémon alongside my otter. As of writing, Galarian Rapidash has only been teased, but I'm certain that I'll be collecting it as well since it can only become the older, more graceful and mature classical unicorn, right? EDIT: And now, Calarian Rapidash has been revealed in full as what I had hoped she would be, a classic, sleek unicorn! ;A; This evolution line is TOO good!

I want to have the biggest collection of Galarian Ponyta and Rapidash out there! I will never stop collecting them and I will never sell any of them! So please, enjoy my collection of unicorns! Don't worry - they aren't stuck in the sea, and are free to come and go as they please. <3
