Hello Ponyta

So, a few days before this collection was announced, I was surfing Twitter (as you do), and happened upon one of James Turner's tweets. It was a tweet of one of his pieces,a shiny Eiscue in fact, in his gummy, pleasant sort of art style. Below this particular tweet, someone replied 'I hope you design art for a PokéCen promotion one day my dude, you have Thee Funnest Ideas'. James Turner commonly responds to many people that leave comments, and to this he replied the following 'Ah, thank you!! It’s funny you should mention a PokéCen promotion...'.
So immediately this got the gears in my head turning - when will this promo come out, what Pokémon would be featured, is he just teasing a bit? Well, I was't wondering too long - around two weeks after this, the HELLO PONYTA collection was announced.
I could not believe it. I was just SHOCKED, moreso than I have been in collecting in a very long time. One of my favourite people in Pokémon, designing a collection based on my favourite Pokémon. I couldn't get over it. I STILL can't get over it. Everytime I look at these items I can't believe it at all.
I was so nervous leading up to the release about whether or not I'd be able to get my order placed, since the Pokémon Center online normally gets absolutely swamped when popular collections release - but I was super lucky and got everything in the promotion in one fell swoop. HUZZAH! When the items arrived I even hosted a live stream opening them all for the first time! I might upload those videos here sometime, but for now, I have some nice photos and descriptions for this collection.
Honestly, one of the top Pokémon Center promotions for me, not only because of the items but the experiences relating to the entire collection. July 2020 was one of the best collecting months ever and I'll never forget it.

Plush
Right so, I often have in every Pokémon collection the one plush I recommend that someone get if they are thinking about getting one plush of a certain Pokémon. At this point, for Galarian Ponyta, it is this plush. Get one. Now.
She is BIG and FLOPPY and MOCHI and SQUISHY, just THE best plush EVER - stylized, of course, to match James Turner's lovely artwork for this collection!
GO GET ONE PLEASE I AM BEGGING YOU. SHE IS A LOVELY, LOVELY BABY.
MAscot Plush
The little sister to the plush above, this is a mochi plush as well! IT has some reinforced felt bits on the tail and mane but otherwise is just the mini me of the big plush, and comes with a lovely pink ball chain!
ADORABLE!
Mini Tote Bags (White & Pink)
I am a sucker for many different types of collection objects, I know that, and one of them that people might not know is that I am a sucker for a really, really cute bag. And this is one of those really, really cute bag situations.
I did get two of the white one because it gave off a more 'The Last Unicorn' vibe, and I thought it would match with more of my outfits so YEA!
For those wanting to purchase, it is somewhat small but a decent size for everyday items, and has a few nice pockets BUT...it has no zip. So wear with caution!
Waist Pouch
The WAIST POUCH. Fanny Pack. Bum Bag. Whatever you want to call it, the spiritual successor to the Hot Topic Charlie the Unicorn Fanny Pack has arrived!
This is a HIGH quality item - embroidery, sturdy plastics for fasteners, metal trimmings and zips. Absolutely gorgeous, ad I can see why this comes in as the most expensive item in the collection - it is a gem. They are now sold out but, if you find one for a reasonable price and you are the type f person to wear these - get one. You won't regret it.
T-Shirts (Pink, White, & Black)
T-shirts galore! So many colours! how will you choose only one? I couldn't so I got them all! (Also because I collect all colours of objects, but I digress...)
Unfortunately for people that want to wear them (but fortunately for my wallet), these only come in one size - Medium. Fair enough I suppose but...I would be miffed to get one of these only to find out it did't fit the way I wanted. ;;;;
Even still, very cute! Cost a pretty pence, but they have a nice print quality to them, though I'm sure even with how designer they are that would fade away over time. In the baggies you stay, then!
Baseball Cap
Not gonna lie, I'm not a big baseball cap person, but this is a REALLY nice cap! Should be for how expensive it is, haha!
It is embroidered, much like the Waist Pouch, and has metal fasteners and such - very sturdy looking.
Switch & Switch Lite Cases + Hard Cover Switch Game Case
Switch accessories! Very uncharacteristic for most PC Collections, I must say, but a very nice surprise nonetheless!
It's nice that they made accessories for both types of Switch, and a game case, though I've ever been a fan of game cases! I'm always nervous I'll break my games trying to get them in and out of one!
iPhone Cases
What can I say, they're iPhone cases. Make sure everyone knows how much you love Galarian Ponyta by putting your phone in one of these! They are soft jackets, though, so I think they would damage rather easily unfortunately, but still! Unicorn!
I don't have an iPhone and ,you know me, MIP collector, so in the boxes they stay!
I find it interesting that Ponyta's colors are so dark on these in comparison with the other items in the collection...must be the printing on that type of plastic or something, who knows?
Water Bottle
This is a STURDY water bottle. VERY sturdy. You know how you can pinch the plastic a bit on the cheap quality ones? Not here, not this one. This one is GREAT.
I can't speak for how well the decal holds up, but my BFF says he gets these types of water bottles a lot and the quality is fantastic o - go get one today! Now, in fact! IF they sitll have them...if not then I'm sorry to have ruined your dreams. ;;;;;;
Acrylic Mirror Keychains
These were interesting, because the first set list of the items for this collection did NOT say anything about them! HOWEVER, they were pictured on a promotional image for the collection on the main Pokémon website - not the Pokémon Center website, the Pokémon one. I ws puzzled but thought they had just made a mistake, and sure enough when the Daisuki Club detailed photos released, there they were, as if nothing had been left out or happened at all! Not sure why that happened but, nifty little bit of history for you!
As the name suggests, these have mirrors on them - you slide the front panel either way and BOOM there it is! I must say, though I never use ball chain keychains, the mirror is a NICE quality mirror, and the front panel doesn't slide very easily - it holds in place well!
Pass Case
This is a nice quality pass case on a lovely reel, so you ca clip it to your waist and just pull it out when you need to display your ticket! How nifty is that?
Almost like...magic! hehehe...
Clearfile set of 3
Though you can't see it in the photo, this is the entire set of 3 from the promo - one featuring Galarian Ponyta & Ponyta, another featuring Yamper & Hatenna, and the last featuring Wooloo & Eiscue.
They did cleverly package them so that you can flip them like a book and see the other two! But here in Glimwood Tangle we love that our unicorn is the first one you see. I mean, it is the HELLO PONYTA collection afterall. :D
Notebook set of 3
Much like the clearfiles, this set features the Galarian Ponyta & Ponyta, Yamper & Hatenna, and Eiscue & Wooloo artworks from the promo, and you can flip through to see the other two if you wish. <3

Square Stickers
There is a lovely, big square shaped sticker for every piece of artwork James Turner drew for this promotion...but they are all packaged with Galarian Ponyta on top! So I bought another pack for taking photos of the Galarian Ponyta & Ponyta galloping artwork.
Really, nice quality matte stickers, honestly!
Marker Pen Set of 3
A cute little set of marker pens! These look very much like highlighters to me - the colours definitely match that, don't they?
I just can't get enough unicorn stationery, honestly. ;;;;;;
Deck Sleeves

The PC likes to do subsequent releases of collections nowadays, particularly with deck sleeves, so here I am again to add to this page!
Honestly they just need to add this artwork to everything. I would buy it. ALWAYS.
Frixion Ball Pen

Another subsequent release, this time it's a ball pen!
Comes with 3 colours of ink for you to use and has lovely unicorn artwork on it! This seem really nice quality pens, though I must admit to not having used this one myself so I can't say for certain if they are. But anything with unicorns is perfect just for having unicorns, right?

This is the US PC version of the HELLO PONYTA plush, so I thought I would list it on the same page (along with the mascot as well!)
There isn't TOO much difference that I can see, other than both of the tags! I think otherwise it's the same. :D

US PC version of the mascot plush! As with other US PC versions, the ball chain has been replaced with a plastic clip, and for some reason this mascot in particular seems more proportional? Want s to stand upright? Is prideful? You know what I mean.
